Description

This Basics of Groundwater Flow Modelling Using MODFLOW Course is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the principles and practice of groundwater flow modelling using MODFLOW. The course is suitable for those with no prior experience of groundwater modelling, as well as those with some experience who wish to gain a better understanding of the fundamentals.

The course will cover the basic principles of groundwater flow modelling, including the governing equations, numerical methods, and the MODFLOW software. It will also provide an introduction to the various types of MODFLOW models, including steady-state, transient, and multi-dimensional models.

The course will also provide an overview of the various input and output files used in MODFLOW, as well as the various graphical and tabular output options available. In addition, the course will cover the various calibration and sensitivity analysis techniques used to evaluate model performance.

Finally, the course will provide an introduction to the various post-processing tools available for MODFLOW, including the use of GIS and other visualization tools.
