But as impressive as our technology and line up is today, it all started with – and continues to share humble roots with – the Cat® 769, introduced 50 years ago.

You would think that – with all the incredible technology and innovation that has transformed our product line – there would be little left of the 769 in today’s trucks. But that’s not the case. The dealers, engineers and customers who helped us shape the 769 deserve ongoing credit for our pneumatic front suspension and the incredible braking and retarding characteristics of our trucks today, as well as our commitment to quality.

At Caterpillar, we understand our customers’ application and safety needs, and are wholly committed to their long-term success. This is ingrained in our culture today – just as it was 50 years ago. And it will continue to drive our business well into the future.
