Acala is a mining services company under PT Acala Genesa Sumberdaya that provides specialized business services in the mining industry, supported by highly qualified professionals who uphold professionalism. 
We are currently seeking an individual as the candidate with a strong background in construction management and mining to assist in supporting the implementation and construction of our in-field gold mining client at a remote open-pit mining project located in Indonesia.

The candidate will involve the planned construction of a gold ore processing plant (CIL) with a capacity of 500 tonnes per day (tpd).  
The candidates should have sufficient and relevant experience in gold processing plant construction projects. 
The positions to be filled are as follows: 
 
Project Engineering Manager

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Metallurgy, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience in document control, preferably in mining industry with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role. 
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is highly desirable. 
• Relevant training or certifications in project management, risk management, and quality assurance may be advantageous. 
• Strong ability to lead and manage a diverse engineering team, with experience in conflict resolution and team motivation. 
• Expertise in developing project plans, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. 
• Deep understanding of engineering principles related to civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering (depending on the specific role focus). 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with stakeholders. 
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on analytical thinking and decision-making. 
• Advanced knowledge of engineering and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, SolidWorks, Primavera). 
• Willing to be placed at Halmahera.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining engineering tasks, milestones, budgets, and timelines.
• Identify key deliverables and allocate resources accordingly. 
• Lead and motivate a team of engineers, providing direction, support, and professional development opportunities.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and manage team dynamics. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, construction, quality assurance, and finance to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and integrated. 
• Track project progress against milestones and budgets.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management. 
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Address and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle. 
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
• Stay updated on relevant codes and regulations. 
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or changes in project scope.
• Understands and is capable of operating a processing plant with a capacity of 500 tons per day of gold ore.
