Junior Geotechnical Engineer

𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Pretoria
𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞: Permanent

𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

• BEng in Civil Engineering (postgraduate qualification in Geotechnical Engineering will be advantageous)
• Registered with ECSA as a Candidate Engineer
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering design
• Valid South African driver’s licence
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:

• Assist with geotechnical engineering design and analysis on mining, tailings, and civil engineering projects
• Report to and work under the guidance of Senior Geotechnical Engineers
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams comprising engineers, geologists, and environmental specialists
• Utilise geotechnical software packages such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Rocscience, DeepEX, and related tools

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 & 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬:

• Willingness to learn and be mentored by experienced professionals
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Fluent in English
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
