Description
This Basic Hydrology Course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive introduction to the field of hydrology. It covers the fundamentals of hydrology, including the physical properties of water, the hydrologic cycle, and the hydrologic processes that shape the Earth’s surface. The course also covers the principles of surface and groundwater hydrology, including the hydrologic budget, runoff, infiltration, and evapotranspiration. In addition, the course covers the application of hydrologic principles to water resources management, including water supply, flood control, and water quality. The course also provides an introduction to the use of hydrologic models for water resources management. The course is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in hydrology and to prepare them for further study in the field.
