Work Experience

Summary Experiences

Exploring industrial minerals such as gypsum, a commodity that is quite large as an important material for construction materials in Indonesia, was an experience and a challenge for me. However, little is known about the exploitation of gypsum in Indonesia. Gypsum is a calcium sulfate dihydrate compound and one of the evaporite minerals. The presence of evaporite minerals such as gypsum is certainly something worth investigating further. Concerning the presence of evaporite minerals such as gypsum in the study area, I’m curious about the geological conditions, distribution, and deposition genesis.

As a result, I used the geoelectric method and xrd and xrf analysis as supporting data to interpret the resistivity response associated with the distribution of gypsum minerals, then geochemical data as supporting data for mineral associations, and finally validated by drilling test wells to determine their vertical distribution. This study aims to identify the findings of gypsum in the research area as a recommendation for PT. Harita on the potential of gypsum in the research area. Working with companies and exploring gypsum is a very interesting experience for me.
