• Technical Proposal Development:
– Develop comprehensive technical proposals for projects based on client requirements, industry standards, and company capabilities.
– Conduct feasibility studies and preliminary engineering assessments to determine project viability.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, marketing, procurement) to ensure alignment between technical specifications and business objectives.
• Commercial Proposal Preparation:
– Prepare cost estimates and budget forecasts for proposed projects, taking into account material costs, labor expenses, and overheads.
– Analyze market conditions and competitor offerings to ensure competitive pricing strategies.
– Negotiate terms and conditions with clients and suppliers to optimize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
• Project Management Support:
– Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation to completion.
– Monitor project progress against established timelines and budgets, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
– Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality control procedures.
• Client Relationship Management:
– Maintain strong relationships with key clients, addressing their concerns and providing timely updates on project status.
– Participate in client meetings and presentations to explain technical aspects of proposals and address any queries or objections.
• Continuous Improvement:
– Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance proposal development processes.
– Identify areas for improvement within existing systems and processes, recommending and implementing changes as necessary.
• Documentation and Reporting:
– Prepare and maintain detailed documentation related to technical and commercial proposals, including specifications, drawings, and reports.
– Submit regular progress reports to management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
• Team Leadership:
– Mentor and train junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster professional growth.
– Supervise and coordinate the work of subordinate team members, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

• Collaborates with the lead process engineer to develop process design and associated deliverables, including process design basis, process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), cause and effect matrices.
• Collaborates with the lead process engineer to define the approach needed to solve hydraulic, heat and mass transfer problems, including identification and collection of field data/client information. Develops appropriate model to solve the problem, effectively analyses and interprets results, and recommends solutions to achieve our clients’ objectives.
• Sizes and specifies pressure relief devices in accordance with client requirements and relevant codes and standards (e.g., API Standards 520/521, ASME Section XIII).
• Sizes equipment including pumps, heat exchangers, mass transfer equipment, pressure vessels, etc. Supports mechanical engineer through development of technical specifications and drawing reviews.
• Develops deliverables to document required operating and design conditions for piping, instrumentation, and equipment (e.g., line lists, instrumentation datasheets).
• Supports process hazard analyses (PHA) as a participant and assists in resolving action items.
• Performs hydraulic calculations for piping systems using a variety of modelling tools and software.
• Reviews vendor drawings to ensure that process technical requirements are met.
• Communicates regularly with project team clients to convey technical information, identify problems, and develop solutions that achieve project objectives in a timely manner.
• Provides support through detailed engineering to provide continuity, assess the impact of proposed changes, support quality assurance/control for the project.
• Applies engineering principles and expertise during project development and in support of other refinery departments as needed.
• Performs engineering activities in all project phases including feasibility/economic studies, conceptual design, identification and evaluation of alternatives, front-end design, detail engineering, construction and start-up/commissioning.
• Develop winning bid strategies and design concepts with Commercial Engineering and Sales team.
• To be involved to the HAZID / HAZOP / SIL studies / 3D Model / PFD / PID / Data Sheets reviews and clarify project requirements to the customer.
• Develop/Prepare Process Designs for both proposals and new projects, to ensure accuracy, competitiveness and compliance with design standards, specifications, relevant codes and EHS requirements in the region.
