The time that mine sites spend on shift change can have a significant impact on their overall productivity. Fortunately, it’s an area that offers opportunities for improvement through the implementation of best practices and the use of technologies like Cat MineStar™ Fleet, Terrain and Command. In this video, we use first and last hour tons to measure shift change performance, and illustrate how one mine used Fleet to move more material by reducing the time spent on shift changes.
