I worked as a wellsite geologist in the Batuhijau mine site and Elang exploration site (owned by PT AMNT) for two years, from 2018-2020. I was tasked with geological and geotechnical logging to collect the necessary data for further mine development planning. The data I collected included lithology, alteration, mineralization, rock strength, discontinuity characteristics, and RQD (rock quality designation). In addition, I did a spectral analysis of the clay-altered rocks in Elang exploration site using ASD (Analytical Spectral Device). I maintained accurate records of these data by storing them in logging sheets and digitised databases. I also wrote daily and weekly reports to explain my finding to my supervisor. In 2019, the geological and geotechnical data I collected was used to plan the 8th phase of the mine development.

Aside from collecting data, as a wellsite geologist, I was also responsible for supervising the drilling activity to ensure the drilling team followed the established safety regulations. I conducted the daily safety meeting to ensure all crews understood the safety regulations and wore the appropriate personal protective equipment.
